Welcome to my world. I'm David, a self-taught craftsman based in Alsace, specialising in creating end-grain cutting boards and handmade wooden objects. Every piece I make is born from patient work, great attention to detail and a deep respect for the material.

For over ten years, he has shaped wood with the same standards as a chef in his kitchen. With no initial training, he taught himself, guided by curiosity, rigour and the desire to create lasting, useful pieces. His approach is based on patience, observation and the pleasure of working with a living material.
Watching the cutting boards used by top chefs, David discovered the strength of end-grain wood: a more resistant, more hygienic surface that's gentle on knives. This demanding, rarely practised technique quickly became his signature. Each board is made from carefully selected local wood species — oak, beech, walnut, maple, cherry — combining aesthetics, performance and durability.

The heart of the craft
Located in the heart of Alsace, the DSWOOD workshop breathes calm, rigour and authenticity. Here, every step counts: selecting the raw wood, cutting, press-gluing, sizing, sanding, oiling and final inspection. Nothing is left to chance. The goal: to create cutting boards that are beautiful, functional and built to last.
